This course examines principles and practices of psychology applied to effective teaching and learning. Theories of child development will be introduced along with implications for classroom practice. A strong emphasis is placed on diversity, its effect on student learning, and ways to help all students successfully learn and achieve. This course explores how students learn, including research on brain function, theories of learning and motivation, and ways to meet diverse learner needs.
